Day 2 - Hanoi - Transfer to Ha Giang
In the morning
At 08:00, begin your adventure with a pickup from the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
Embark on a scenic drive through the picturesque Red River Delta, passing through Viet Tri and Tuyen Quang.
Arrive in Tuyen Quang, a charming town famed for its rolling emerald tea plantations. Here, we’ll indulge in a delicious, authentic local lunch at one of the area's finest eateries.
In the afternoon
Continue our journey into the breathtaking landscapes of Ha Giang. Along the way, you'll be captivated by a breathtaking panorama of gently rolling hills, serene villages, and vibrant rice paddies adorned with graceful palm trees.
Stop en route to visit a village of black Tay ethnic people.
Arrive in Ha Giang town in the late afternoon. You'll take a rest after a long journey.
Day 3 - Ha Giang - Dong Van
In the morning
Wake up early to catch the breathtaking sunrise over the majestic mountains.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast to fuel up for the day’s adventures.
First stop: Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate – a stunning viewpoint where you can admire panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the famous Twin Fairy Mountains, a symbol of Ha Giang. This is an excellent spot for taking scenic photos.
Continue the journey along winding roads, passing lush valleys and picturesque terraced rice fields.
Stop for lunch in Tam Son, a charming mountain town, and savor some delicious local specialties.
In the afternoon
Visit the Hmong King’s Palace (Vuong Palace) – an impressive historical mansion that once belonged to the powerful Vuong family. The architecture is a fascinating blend of Chinese, French, and Hmong influences, offering insight into the region’s rich history.
Resume the journey, taking in the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
Arrive in Dong Van around 18:00, check into your hotel, and take a short rest.
In the evening
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, where you can taste authentic regional dishes such as thang co (Hmong-style horse stew), grilled mountain pork, and steamed rice rolls with bone broth.
Free time in the evening to explore Dong Van Old Quarter, enjoy a cup of traditional coffee, or experience local cultural activities if visiting on a weekend.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Hanoi Arrival
Welcome to Vietnam: after long time on airplane, you will reach Vietnam – the S-shaped land, where 54 different ethnic minorities inhabited.

You will be warmly welcomed by our guide and driver at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city center of Hanoi.
Free time for for your own exploration and shopping in the Old Quarter.
Day 4 - Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac
In the morning
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel
If it’s a Sunday, don’t miss the bustling local market! This is a rare opportunity to witness the vibrant cultural tapestry of ethnic minority communities, adorned in their stunning traditional outfits. The market is a sensory delight, filled with colorful handicrafts, exotic produce, and an atmosphere brimming with energy.
Note: If you miss the Sunday market in Dong Van, we can arrange a visit to Lui Market, depending on your departure date, for another chance to experience the vibrant local trade and culture.
Begin the journey towards Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain roads. The 20 km-long pass, perched at 1,200 meters above sea level, offers stunning panoramic views of rugged mountains and deep valleys.
Make a stop at Mã Pì Lèng Skywalk, a scenic walking path along the cliffs that provides the best aerial views of the landscape. This is an ideal spot for capturing breathtaking photos of the vast limestone karsts and winding Nho Que River below.
If time permits, descend to Nho Que River and embark on a boat tour through Tu San Canyon, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. The emerald-green waters and towering limestone cliffs create an unforgettable, picture-perfect experience.
Arrive in Meo Vac Valley, where you’ll indulge in a delicious lunch featuring authentic local delicacies. This is a wonderful chance to savor the flavors of the highlands and connect with the rich traditions of the region.
In the afternoon
Begin the scenic return journey back to Ha Giang, soaking in the last glimpses of the breathtaking landscapes.
